Communicaton Tools

I am looking forward to using SKYPE this semester, but I am apprehensive about the blog. I am sure I will catch on eventually, but would welcome any feedback from any of my classmates.

My name is Jim Weekley and I am a Chemistry Instructor at Fairmont State University in Fairmont, WV. This semester I am teaching 5 Chem 1105 labs. I have taught mostly lab classes while at FSU, but I have taught a few lecture classes as well. I was born in Clarksburg, WV and grew up in a "holler" in Doddridge County. I was in the U.S. Navy for 8 years, where I did chemistry control on nuclear reactors and radiation surveys, so I kind of glow at night. :) When I got out of the Navy I attended Fairmont State College receiving an B.S. in Chemistry in 2000. I went to graduate school at the University of Kentucky and received a M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2005. I taught one year at Lafayette High School in Lexington, KY prior to accepting my current job here at FSU.
